STD 020 Promotional Rates

STD 020 calls are quoted on a per minute basis and calls are charged in blocks of $0.10. Promotion also applies to outgoing IDD 001 and ICC 1898 calls made from Singapore. Local airtime charges apply to calls made on mobile lines. Promotional rates are subject to change without prior notice. Not valid for all roaming calls and services.

Making a STD 020 Call

If you are calling a Malaysian telephone line number, dial the access code 020, followed by the area code for the particular town, and the required party's number.

If you are calling a Malaysian mobile phone number, dial the access code 020, followed by the mobile network code and the mobile phone number.

 

Operator-Assisted 104 Service

Operator-assisted calls can be booked through SingTel's operator-assisted service by dialling 104.
 

1. N/N (Number-to-Number)
   Call The call is established between the Singapore telephone number and the overseas telephone number.
2. P/P (Person-to-Person)
   Call The call is established between the caller and the specified person or phone extension at the destination.

   STD 020 is SingTel's premium grade direct dial service for customers who demand high-quality calls and assurance of instant access to Malaysia.

    

2. How are STD 020 calls charged?

    

   Each STD 020 call is charged in blocks of $0.10. Each block allows for a certain amount of talktime depending on the town/city or number called.

    

3. How and where can I obtain the Malaysia area codes?

    

   You can refer to the SingTel International Services Handbook for a list of the Malaysia area codes. Alternatively, call 104 for more information.

    

4. How do I apply for STD 020 service?

    

   STD 020 service is available automatically on all SingTel telephone lines. Hence, you can use STD 020 directly from your telephone without applying. If you are not an existing SingTel telephone line user, you need to apply for SingTel IDD facility on your telephone line. You can apply on-line, mail or fax the form to us. The form is also available at SingTel hello!

    

5. Do I need to pay any registration fees or monthly subscription?

    

   No.

    

6. How long does it take to activate SingTel IDD facility?

    

   If your application is approved, your SingTel IDD facility will be activated the working day after we receive your application form.

    

7. How do I prevent unauthorised STD 020 access?

    

   1. SingTel fixed telephone line users may activate the Phone Lock facility to block STD 020 calls.
   2. Non-SingTel telephone line users should contact the service provider to request the equivalent of SingTel's Phone Lock facility.

    

8. Does my existing Phone Lock facility on my SingTel fixed telephone line for IDD 001 apply to STD 020?

    

   No. To block STD 020 calls from your telephone line, you need to activate Phone Lock for STD 020.

    

9. How can I be assured that I will be billed accurately for all STD 020 calls made?

    

   Your monthly bill will list all overseas calls made within the billing cycle. It will include detailed information like date and time of call, the overseas number called, the duration of each call, and the cost incurred for each call. If you have questions about your bill, please call 1688.
