What Is DDoS?

A Denial-of-Service attack (DoS attack) or Distributed Denial-of-Service attack is an attempt to make resources unavailable to its intended users. While a DoS attack is from a single source, a DDoS attack utilises several unsuspecting PCs and servers to flood the bandwidth of the targeted system. This increases the magnitude of the attack, making it harder to identify the original attacker.
