The satellite's C-band beam covers the Asia-Pacific region including the Persian Gulf, the Indian sub-continent, South East Asia and China. Its powerful Ku-band provides excellent coverage over India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei and Indonesia.
SingTel's Australian arm, Optus, operates the Australian and New Zealand hotbirds. Optus’ satellite footprint covers Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Hawaii, Papua New Guinea and Christmas Island. Along with Hong Kong's APT Satellite, SingTel covers more than 100 countries across Europe, Africa and the Asia Pacific region, reaching 75 percent of the world's population.
Mobile Satellite Services
SingTel is the founding partner and leading provider of Inmarsat services. We provide innovative satellite communication solutions to meet various needs of the maritime and offshore industries.
From innovative packaging of value added services to commissioning and troubleshooting of systems, SingTel can customise solutions to meet your satellite communication needs. We also offer integrated fixed and mobile solutions such as high-speed IP broadband for ships with Maritime VSAT services (Global & Regional). This allows two-way ship-to-shore and shore-to-ship communications, supporting a wide range of services such as email, Internet, Fax, VoIP and SIP phone service.

Proven Performance and Reliability
With the advantage of owning our own teleport facilities as well as extensive local and international fibre networks, we are able to provide customised and cost-effective satellite solutions.
Our four teleports are interconnected via diversity fibre through different manholes, offering full redundancy for teleport interconnection via SingTel owned networks. Customers can enjoy peace of mind knowing that their applications are supported by proven performance and reliability.
Operational Performance
SingTel currently has more than 30 antenna systems accessing satellites in the Pacific and Indian Ocean region, maintaining a track record of 99.98% availability of service in the past three years. We regularly upgrade our terrestrial infrastructure to ensure that our customers always enjoy high performance and reliability for their mission-critical applications, even in remote areas.
Globalstar has selected SingTel as their Southeast Asian gateway operator based on our track record for pr. Inmarsat has also appointed us to operate the network control stations for their Pacific and Indian Ocean satellites.
