How does your hi!Card work?
Slot your hi!Card into your mobile phone (for instructions, refer to your mobile phone operation manual). If your hi!Card has zero value, you will need to top up the value.
Before a call is connected, you will hear a message telling you the remaining value in your hi!Card.
All incoming and outgoing call charges will be deducted from the stored-value hi!Card.
How do I make and end a call?

How do I top up my hi! Card?
You may purchase various stored value Top-Up Cards at hello! Stores, authorised dealers, SingPost outlets, 7-Eleven and Cheers Convenience stores to top up your account balance.

Alternatively, top up your hi!Card at any Self-service Automated Machine (SAM), DBS/POSB ATM or AXS station. You can also top up via the Internet if you have an Internet Banking account with DBS, UOB or Citibank.
For Top Up via SAM, just press the [Top Up or Purchase Telecommunication Services ] button, then select [ hi!Card ]. For DBS/POSB ATMs, select [Cash Card/Others] followed by [ Loan/other services ]. Then select SingTel services [to top up your hi!Card].
For top up via the Internet, simply go to http://www.vpost.com.sg and select the Pay Bill option followed by hi!Card top-up. The amount will be deducted from your DBS, UOB or Citibank Internet Banking account. First-time users need to register with vPost to obtain a UserID and password. Choose your Top-Up value and make your payment through NETS. It’s that easy!
How do I store frequently used numbers and short text messages?
Your hi!Card can store up to 70 phone numbers of your choice for quick access.
You can also store up to 3 short text messages. As storing of phone numbers and text message sequences may vary depending on the model of handphone used, please refer to your handphone manual for instructions.
What do I need to do in order to send SMSes through my hi!Card?
In order to send SMSes through your hi!Card, you will need to set the mobile phone SMS centre number by doing the following:

How does IDEAS work with my hi!Card?
You can enjoy IDEAS with your hi!Card on a WAP-enabled mobile phone. IDEAS on WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) lets you freely access and interact with the latest information and services from the Internet from your mobile phone.

Password Security Features
This prevents unauthorised calls from being made and charged to your account. Your hi!Card has been pre-set with a default password “1234”.
Changing your password*
Refer to the mobile phone manual or follow the instructions below to change your SIM card password.

Using Your Password Security Feature
When the Password Security Feature is on, you need to enter the correct password each time you switch on the phone. After 3 consecutive attempts with the incorrect password, your mobile service will be disabled. If this happens, please bring your mobile phone and hi!Card to any of our Customer Services Centres.
Further unsuccessful attempts will invalidate your hi!Card permanently. You will need to purchase a new hi!Card and will not be able to retain your number.

Notes
- Call Divert/Transfer will remain activated until you cancel it.
- You cannot re-direct incoming calls to a telephone number that already has Call Divert/Transfer activated.
- You can only re-direct calls to local telephone, mobile or pager numbers.
- Re-directed calls will be charged at prevailing mobile phone rates.
- You can still use your mobile phone to make outgoing calls when Call Divert/Transfer is activated.

Useful Notes
You can use the GSM900 hi!Card with any GSM900 or DualBand Phone. The GSM1800 hi!Card can be used with any GSM1800 or DualBand Phone.
- Your first top-up for a new (zero value) hi!Card has to be made through 9676 7777 with a Top-Up Card. Subsequent top-ups may be made at SAM or DBS/POSB ATMs located conveniently around Singapore. You can also top up via the Internet if you have an Internet Banking account with DBS, UOB or Citibank. Visit www.vpost.com.sg to activate this.
- Your hi!Card must be topped up at least every 90 days. Otherwise, it will be de-activated and the value in your hi!Card will be forfeited.
- 180 days is the maximum validity period for selected Top-Up denominations.
- The Top-Up Card has an expiry date printed on it.
- You can purchase a Top-Up Card from selected authorised dealers and top up your hi!Card as and when you want.
- You can make calls to Service 100.
- You will not be able to make calls to 104 and numbers beginning with 1900.
- For International Direct Dialing (IDD) calls, IDD rates and hi!Card local talktime charges apply. IDD calls will be charged by the first minute and subsequent 6-second blocks.
- Your hi!Card supports AutoRoam and thus can be used when you are overseas.
- You will not be able to make any calls if you select Line 2 on your mobile phone.
- To send SMSes from your hi!Card, you must configure your mobile phone to a dedicated SMS centre (+65 9640 0001), which is specifically for hi!Card SMS.

For registration, please bring your prepaid SIM card and the necessary identity documents, i.e. NRIC for Singaporeans; blue identity card for permanent residents; SAF11B, SPF11B or SCDF11B for National Servicemen; Work Permit Identification Card for foreign workers; and passport for other foreigners.
- How do I top-up my hi!Card?
You can purchase a Top-Up Card from all hello! stores, SingTel Mobile authorised dealers, 7-Eleven, SingPost outlets and Cheers convenience stores.
Simply follow the instructions printed on the back of the Top-Up Card.
- Call 9676-7777 (toll-free) on your mobile phone with the hi!Card inserted.
- Press "2" to top up.
- Wait for the voice prompt and enter the 10-digit Top-Up Card number printed on the back of your Top-Up Card, followed by the "#" key.
- When prompted, scratch off the scratch panel on the back of your Top-Up Card to reveal a 6-digit PIN. Enter this PIN, followed by the "#" key.
- You will hear the top-up value credited to your hi!Card on your mobile phone.
You can call in to top-up even when your hi!Card value is zero. Your mobile phone number will remain unchanged after top-up.

- What is the maximum top-up amount for my hi!Card?
To protect the interest of our customers, the maximum amount today on a hi!Card is $999. If the current balance plus top-up value exceeds $999, the customer will be prompted to reselect the top-up value.

Is there an expiry date on my hi!Card or top-up value?
The hi!Card must be topped up at least every 90 days*, otherwise, the hi!Card will be deactivated and any remaining value in the hi!Card will be forfeited. Top-Up cards also have an expiry date printed on their back. After expiry, the card is not valid and cannot be used.
* 180 days is the maximum validity period for selected SIM Cards and Top-Up denominations. Once you send an SMS, the charges will be deducted from your hi!Card and the SMS will be processed. We will attempt to send the SMS for over 24 hours. If your recipient is still unreachable, the SMS charges still apply.
- Do I need to configure my SMS centre number in order to send SMSes from my hi!Card?
Yes, you need to configure your mobile phone to a dedicated SMS Centre, +6596400001, which is only for hi!Card SMS.

Who can I send SMSes to from my hi!Card?
You may send SMSes from hi!Card to the following:

- What if I try to send an SMS but my hi!Card balance has insufficient value?
If your hi!Card balance is insufficient when you send an SMS, you will receive a return message informing you of this. You will need to send your SMS again after you have top up your hi!Card.

How will I be charged for picture messaging?
Each picture message can consist of 3 or more short messages. Please ensure that the balance on your hi!Card is sufficient before you send a picture message to another mobile phone user. Charges are based on the total number of SMSes sent successfully.

- Since data access is provided, can hi!Card user receive an incoming fax or send an outgoing fax?
No, the data service does not support incoming or outgoing faxes.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- The hi!Card and Top-Up Card once sold cannot be returned. It cannot be exchanged for cash or other products. SingTel Mobile shall not be liable to the customer for any loss, theft, misuse or damage of these cards whatsoever.
- SingTel Mobile does not provide a refund for any unused balance in the prepaid mobile card account; before or after usage, upon expiry or termination of account or if the SIM card is blocked.
- The card number and PIN number printed on each Top-Up Card is unique to that Top-Up Card and the customer shall be solely responsible for preventing any unauthorised use of the Top-Up Card.
- Unless expressly stated herein, SingTel Mobile's Specific Terms and Conditions of Service , and Singapore Telecommunications Limited's General Terms and Conditions (the "General Terms and Conditions"), shall apply in addition to the above terms and conditions.
- The Customer agrees that SingTel Mobile shall be entitled to use or disclose any information or data disclosed by the Customer in accordance with Clause 15 of the General Terms and Conditions. The Customer is entitled to withdraw such consent in the procedure as prescribed by SingTel Mobile from time to time.
- 1800/1900/15xx-calls and selected mobile data/content access via *SEND or 5-digit short codes are not available for prepaid services and are subjected to 3rd party content providers terms and conditions.
- The $8 for $10 hi!Card is preloaded with a value of $10 in the main account.
- The $8 for $11 hi!Card is preloaded with a value of $8 in the main account and a one-time additional $3 bonus talktime (“Bonus”) will be added to your special bonus account (“Account”) upon the first top-up of a minimum of $5 to the main account.
- All unused value in the Account shall expire within thirty (30) days from the date the last eligible top-up is made by the Customer ("Bonus Period") and shall be automatically forfeited unless a fresh eligible top-up is made to the main account prior to expiry of the Bonus Period. Unused value in the Account may be rolled over for a further thirty (30) day period commencing from the date of the eligible top-up if a fresh eligible top-up is done within the Bonus Period.
SingTel Mobile IDD Promotion (“IDD Promotion”) - Terms and Conditions
This IDD Promotion is valid from 26 March 2010 and is only applicable for SingTel Mobile Prepaid Mobile customers who make V019 calls to China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines & Thailand. Customers making calls using SUPER HOT$128 or HOT$55, shall only be entitled to the IDD Promotion if the cost of such V019 calls are deducted from the respective SUPERHOT$128 or HOT$55 International Talktime and Global SMS BONUS Accounts. For the avoidance of doubt, SUPERHOT$128 and HOT$55 customers shall not be entitled to this IDD Promotion if the cost of the V019 calls made by such customers are deducted from the customer’s Main Account unless such deduction from the Main Account is necessary due to unavailable or insufficient credit in the Customer's International Talktime and Global SMS BONUS Account.
Customers using BONU$30 are eligible for this IDD Promotion only if the cost of the V019 calls made are deducted from the customer’s Main Account.
Under this IDD Promotion, customers will enjoy 10 minutes of their V019 call for free AFTER the first 8 minutes of their V019 call to one of the above destinations. The 10 free minutes of the V019 call will only be awarded ONCE per call and must be utilised within the same call. Any unutilized free minutes shall be automatically forfeited.
There is no limit to the number of times a customer can enjoy the 10 minutes of FREE V019 calls to the selected destination each day.
The chargeable duration of V019 calls will be charged based on SingTel Mobile’s prevailing Prepaid Mobile V019 rates for each of the selected countries.
Prevailing mobile local airtime charges^ will apply and will be deducted from either the Customer’s Main Account or the respective SUPER HOT$128 and/or HOT$55 International Talktime and Global SMS BONUS Accounts (where applicable) at the discretion of SingTel Mobile.
Fixed lines termination and mobile lines termination of the designated destinations covered by this IDD Promotion is subject to the discretion of SingTel Mobile. SingTel Mobile may vary, suspend or terminate the whole or any part of this IDD Promotion from time to time without prior notice.
