Hosted Human Resource Management solution for SMEs boosts productivity and reduces costs
Singapore, 16 December 2008 – Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) today announced it is the first service provider in Singapore to offer a fully managed, hosted web-based Human Resource Management (HRM) solution bundled with BroadBand access, to meet the needs of small and medium businesses.
Named SingTel HR Assist, the solution offers businesses a range of tools to manage payroll and staff leave. It is available for a monthly fee and is ideal for companies which do not wish to incur upfront investments in HRM solutions. Customers can also expect to save on the cost of dedicated IT staff needed to manage in-house solutions and infrastructure.
A key feature of SingTel HR Assist is its powerful payroll processing capability that automates and streamlines payroll and back-office functions such as Interbank GIRO (IBG) transfers as well as submissions to the Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board and Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS). This reduces the amount of time-consuming manual paperwork for these transactions and ensures constantly updated compliance with prevailing statutory regulations and tax laws.
The solution features an employee profile management tool that allows companies to capture important employee data and store it on a single database for quick retrieval and analysis. The company’s HR administrator can conveniently update staff information and also view, extract and print pay slips via a secure password-protected web portal. Staff will be able to submit leave applications with a user-friendly online leave management tool which they can access even when out of the office.

SingTel HR Assist incorporates the HRM applications of StarVision Information Technology, an HR applications provider that has been implementing robust and scalable HR solutions for over 12 years. The company offers HRM solutions that can cater to companies with staff strength from five onwards.

The SingTel HR Assist entry-level package is available at $99 per month and is bundled with high-speed broadband, email and web-hosting services as well as five e-leave and e-payroll user licenses.
