Important Notes to Bidders (Fixed Line)

  1. Bidders may bid for Fixed Line numbers from the exchange switch unit that serves their installation address, subject to the availability of a spare line serving their premises at the time of installation.
  2. Bidders may also bid for Fixed Line numbers from other exchanges. A monthly charge of $8.56 will be levied for each Fixed Line number connected across exchanges or switch unit.
  3. Prices stated are inclusive of GST.
  4. SingTel reserves all rights to amend Terms & Conditions without prior notice.

  2. Bidders need to purchase an approved mobile handset, based on the GSM standard, from an approved vendor.

  1. What are Golden Numbers?

    Golden Numbers are numbers with a specific number pattern.  They are considered auspicious, pleasant and easy-to-remember numbers.

  2. How can I get a Golden Number?

    You can get a Golden Number either by paying a one-time charge or by bidding for it.  However, you cannot outright purchase the numbers that are currently out for bidding and those numbers that are reserved for bidding.

  3. What is the price of acquiring a Golden Number without bidding?

    Please call 1609 (residential lines) or 1606 (business lines) to get more information on this.

  4. What is the minimum bid price?

    For a mobile phone number, the minimum bid price is $21,400 (Titanium Number), $10,700 (Platinum Number), $1,070 (Golden Number) and $856 (Special Number) respectively.

  5. How do I bid for a Golden Number?

    Please fill up the application form, attach a cheque for the bid amount and mail it to SingTel or deposit it personally at the Golden Numbers Bid Box at hello!@Comcentre, 31B Exeter Road, Singapore 239733.

  6. Can I send my bid by post?

    Yes, but your bid form must reach the Golden Numbers Bid Box before the relevant closing date and time.

  7. Where can I obtain the application form?

    Download the application form or collect it from the Information Counter at hello!@Comcentre.

  8. If I am interested in a few numbers but want to buy only one, how do I indicate this on the application form?

    List down the numbers that you are interested in bidding for and indicate your top preference as No. 1, the next as No. 2, and so on. If the bid amount for each of the Golden Numbers is the same, please issue one cheque for that amount. If the bid amounts are different, please issue separate cheques for each Number you are bidding for.

  9. How do I apply for the line if my bid is successful?

    For a new line subscriber, submit the telephone application form together with the original Letter of Award for Number under Golden Number Scheme through any of our sales counters or SingPost outlets.

Instructions

  1. A list of numbers available for bidding will be provided at each bidding cycle.
  2. The minimum bid price for Fixed/One Number is $535 or $2,140 depending on the number combination. For Mobile Number, the minimum bid price is $21,400 (for Titanium Number), $10,700 (for Platinum Number), $1,070 (for Golden Number) and $856 (for Special Number). 
  3. Every bid must be accompanied by a crossed cheque, cashier’s order or money order for the full amount offered, and made payable to ‘SingTel’. The bidder’s full name, address and the number bided for must be written on the reverse side of such crossed cheque, cashier’s order or money order. If the bid is rejected, the crossed cheque, cashier’s order or money order will be returned to the bidder by ordinary post.
  4. Prices stated above are inclusive of GST.
  5. The completed form and the crossed cheque, cashier’s order or money order must be enclosed in the envelope provided with the correct bidding cycle number indicated and sent by hand or mail to the mailing address below. The application must reach us by 9pm on the closing date of the bidding cycle. Do not send by registered post or local urgent mail. Proof of posting is not proof of delivery.
  6. Every bid must be in the name of an individual or a company under which the bidder intends to apply for the service.
  7. SingTel reserves the right not to accept the highest or any bid and is not bound to assign any reason for the rejection of any bid.
  8. The bid result will be released and the bidders will be notified in writing within 10 days from the closing date.

Fixed Line Numbers

  1. Within fourteen (14) days of obtaining the Golden Number under the Golden Number Scheme, the Customer shall activate and use the Golden Number at the installation address stipulated by the Customer at the time of obtaining the Golden number. If the Customer fails to use the Golden Number within the said fourteen (14) days, the Customer shall pay SingTel a monthly reservation fee as may be prescribed by SingTel for a period of twelve (12) months with effect from a date fourteen (14) days after the date of obtaining the Golden Number. If the Golden Number is not used after the expiry of the aforesaid twelve (12) months period, the Customer shall cease to have the right of use of such number and SingTel shall have the absolute right to deal with such number as it deems appropriate without being liable to the Customer in damages or otherwise and there shall be no refund of the amount paid by the Customer for the said Golden Number.
  2. In the event that the Customer desires to relocate or re-install the Fixed Line which is used for the Golden Number to another location and retain the Golden Number, the Customer shall pay SingTel the prescribed one-time removal and other one-time charges and shall also pay the prescribed recurring monthly rental for the number retention in addition to the monthly rental of the telephone line at the new location.
  3. The Customer may transfer the Golden Number to another person (transferee) only if the Customer has activated and used the Golden Number and not otherwise.
  4. Other than the right to use the Golden Number, the Customer shall not acquire any right or interest in the Golden Number notwithstanding the duration for which the number may have been assigned to or used by the Customer or any payment which may have been made by the Customer for the Golden Number.
  5. SingTel reserves the right to change the Golden Number, without being liable to the Customer in damages or otherwise, if owing to any directions given by Info-Communications Development Authority of Singapore or any other regulatory authorities the Golden Number is required to be changed or if owing to any telecommunications network changes whether initiated by SingTel or otherwise, the Golden Number is required to be changed. In addition to the terms and conditions contained herein, the Customer shall also be bound by SingTel's Specific Terms and Conditions relating to Fixed Line Service at www.singtel.com.

Mobile Numbers

  1. Within fourteen (14) days of obtaining the Titanium/Platinum/Golden/Special Number under the Golden Number Scheme, the Customer shall activate and use the Titanium/Platinum/Golden/Special Number. If the Customer fails to use the Titanium/Platinum/Golden/Special Number within the said fourteen (14) days, the Customer shall pay SingTel Mobile Singapore Pte Ltd (SingTel Mobile) a monthly reservation fee as may be prescribed by SingTel Mobile for a period of twelve (12) months with effect from a date fourteen (14) days after the date of obtaining the Titanium/Platinum/Golden/Special Number. If the Titanium/Platinum/Golden/Special Number is not used after the expiry of the aforesaid twelve (12) months period, the Customer shall cease to have the right of use of such number and SingTel Mobile shall have the absolute right to deal with such number as it deems appropriate without being liable to the Customer in damages or otherwise and there shall be no refund of the amount paid by the Customer for the said Titanium/Platinum/Golden/Special Number.
  2. The Customer may transfer the Titanium/Platinum/Golden/Special Number to another person (transferee) only if the Customer has activated a mobile line and used the Titanium/Platinum/Golden/Special Number and not otherwise.
  3. SingTel Mobile shall assign the mobile phone system for use in connection with the Titanium/Platinum/Golden/Special Number and the Customer shall ensure that the mobile handset equipment used by the Customer shall be compatible with the mobile phone system assigned by SingTel Mobile.
  4. All mobile handsets purchased and used in conjunction with the Titanium/Platinum/Golden/Special Number must be type approved by Info-Communications Development Authority of Singapore for use in Singapore.
  5. SingTel reserves the right to change the Titanium/Platinum/Golden/Special Number, without being liable to the Customer in damages or otherwise, if owing to any directions given by Info-Communications Development Authority of Singapore or any other regulatory authorities the Titanium/Platinum/Golden/Special Number is required to be changed or if owing to any telecommunications network changes whether initiated by SingTel or otherwise, the Titanium/Platinum/Golden/Special Number is required to be changed.
  6. In addition to the terms and conditions contained herein, the Customer shall also be bound by SingTel Mobile’s Specific Terms and Conditions which is available at either www.singtel.com or SingTel Mobile’s Customer Service Centre, 31B Exeter Road #01-00 Comcentre 2, Singapore 239733, during operational hours.

OneNumber

  1. Within fourteen (14) days of obtaining the Golden Number under the Golden Number Scheme for OneNumber, the Customer shall activate and use the Golden Number. If the Customer fails to use the Golden Number within the said fourteen (14) days, the Customer shall pay SingTel a monthly reservation fee as may be prescribed by SingTel for a period of twelve (12) months with effect from a date fourteen (14) days after the date of obtaining the Golden Number. If the Golden Number is not used after the expiry of the aforesaid twelve (12) months period, the Customer shall cease to have the right of use of such Golden Number and SingTel shall have the absolute right to deal with such Golden Number as it deems appropriate without being liable to the Customer in damages or otherwise and there shall be no refund of the amount paid by the Customer for the said Golden Number.
  2. Other than the right to use the Golden Number, the Customer shall not acquire any right or interest in the Golden Number notwithstanding the duration for which the number may have been assigned to or used by the Customer or any payment which may have been made by the Customer for the Golden Number.
