1.Why do I need WIFI connection to setup my Playbook upon first launch?
During first launch, Playbook needs the data connection to establish the link between your Blackberry ID and the Playbook. On top of that, it searches and installs the latest software to keep your Playbook up to date.
2.Can the initial setup be connected to public WIFI station like Wireless@SG?
Yes. If you are connected to a public hotspot, there will be an option which will bring you to the browser to connect to the public hotspot using the Wireless@SG web login method.
3.When I tether to the Playbook using my Blackberry Handset, why am I unable to receive emails on my Blackberry Bridge Connection or Blackberry Handset?
In order to optimize the download speed for tethering, Blackberry email connection will be put on hold until the Tethering session ends.
4.Why does the rest of the Apps like Facebook and Youtube does not connect itself to the internet when I connect my handset to the Playbook Via Blackberry Bridge?
Blackberry Bridge only allows internet usage for the apps that are within that menu. Please connect to the nearest WIFI hotspot to enjoy the full functions of the Playbook.
5.I tried tethering/WIFI connect to the Playbook with my non-blackberry handset, why does it always fail?
There are compatibility issues between different handsets on the compliance for Bluetooth Tethering and Wifi connection. Please refer to manufacturer’s website for a detailed list of compatibility.

1.What happens if I encounter some problem with my BlackBerry PlayBook?
You can call the PlayBook hotline operated by RIM at 8001012646 daily (including weekends and Public Holidays) from 8am to 8pm. You will be advised the next course of action accordingly.
2.I faced some technical fault. Can I visit the Technical Care or BrightPoint Service Centre?
No you cannot. You will have to call the PlayBook hotline and our operators will advise you accordingly.
3.Can I exchange for a new set if my PlayBook is faulty?
No, you cannot. Once the BlackBerry PlayBook is sold, there is strictly no exchange of stocks. You will have to call the PlayBook hotline for repair or exchanges.
4.How long is the warranty period? Where can I find the warranty card?
There is a warranty of 12 months, and the warranty card can be found in the box.
