1. What is Xplorer?
SingTel Xplorer is a mobile GPS navigation client that transforms your handset into a personal navigation device. It enables you to reach your destination using turn-by-turn navigation either through voice or map instructions.
2. Is Xplorer only suitable for drivers?
No, Xplorer is suitable for use by both drivers and pedestrians. Anyone can make use of the service to find directions to the destination via the drive/walk mode. In addition, you can make use of its features to explore a wide range of local point-of-interest categories.
3. What device does Xplorer support?
Xplorer supports iPhone, Android, Blackberry and WAP-supported handsets.
4. Are there any charges for Xplorer?
The service is available at a monthly subscription of $5.35 (w/GST).
5. Do I need to download any client into my mobile phone?
Yes. Upon successful signup, you’ll need to download Xplorer into your mobile phone.
6. I’ve downloaded Xplorer into my mobile phone. How do I locate them?
The location of Xplorer client may vary depending on the device that you are using. You may refer to the following table to locate the client.

Yes, local data charge is applicable. It is deductable from your data plan subscription or chargeable at pay-per-use if you do not have any data plan subscription.

8. I’ve changed into a new mobile phone recently. How can I continue to use Xplorer on my new mobile phone?
Simply download the client from http://wap.telmap.com/SingTel/ and you can start using Xplorer via your new mobile phone.
9. Can I continue to make out-going calls and/or receive calls while using Xplorer?
This depends on your device’s ability to run an application and execute a call at the same time.
To receive a call, simply press the Send key. To make a call, press the End key to display your mobile’s menu screen and proceed as usual. Xplorer will continue to run in the background.

SingTel Mobile Specific Terms and Conditions for SingTel Xplorer Service
1 Incorporation by Reference
In addition to:-

which terms and conditions are deemed incorporated by reference, the Customer shall be bound by the following Specific Terms and Conditions of SingTel Mobile's SingTel Xplorer Service ("SingTel Xplorer Terms"). In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between:
(i) The General Terms, SingTel's Billing Terms and Conditions and/or these SingTel Xplorer Terms, such conflict or inconsistency shall be resolved in accordance with the provisions of the General Terms; or
(ii) Any provision of the Specific Terms and any provision of these SingTel Xplorer Terms, these SingTel Xplorer Terms shall prevail over the Specific Terms.
2 Definition and Interpretation
2.1 In these SingTel Xplorer Terms , the following words and expressions shall have the following meanings:
a "Customer" means the customer who subscribes to the Service.
b "SingTel" means Singapore Telecommunications Limited (CRN: 199201624D).
c "SingTel Mobile" means Singapore Telecom Mobile Pte Ltd (CRN: 199406031E).
d "SingTel Group Company" means SingTel and each related corporation of SingTel within the meaning given in the Companies Act.
e "Service" means the service known as SingTel Xplorer which allows Customers to enter their destination address and obtain directions for navigation to the destination address by either driving or pedestrian mode.
f "Territory" means Republic of Singapore.
2.2 The headings or titles to the Clauses in these SingTel Xplorer Terms are to facilitate reference and shall not be referred to or relied upon in the construction of any provision of these SingTel Xplorer Terms.
2.3 The words and expressions used in these SingTel Xplorer Terms that are defined in the General Terms, the Specific Terms and/or the Billing Terms and Conditions but which are not defined herein, shall have the same meanings as defined in the General Terms, the Specific Terms and/or the Billing Terms and Conditions unless expressly defined herein or the context otherwise requires.
3 Target Market
3.1 The Service is available to all SingTel Mobile postpaid customers.
4 Subscription and Commencement of Service and Minimum Subscription Period of Service
4.1 The Service shall be activated on the date the Customer subscribes to the Service ("Commencement Date").
4.2 The minimum subscription period for the Service shall be either:
a a period of one (1) month from the Commencement Date; or
b such other period as may be stipulated by SingTel Mobile as the minimum subscription period.
Thereafter, the Service shall continue in force until terminated by SingTel Mobile or the Customer in accordance with these SingTel Xplorer Terms.
4.3 Additional terms and conditions may apply from time to time in relation to promotional offers for the Service as may be determined by SingTel Mobile.
5 Termination
5.1 The Customer may terminate the Service by calling 1688.
5.2 Where the Customer terminates the Service, the Customer shall be liable for the fees and/or charges for the Service till the end of the said calendar month in which the termination occurs. No pro-rationing of the fees and/or charges will be granted.
5.3 Upon termination of this Agreement, the Customer acknowledges and agrees that all licenses and rights to use the Service shall terminate, and will cease any and all use of the Service.
5.4 Without prejudice to anything in the General Terms and Specific Terms, SingTel Mobile reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate the Customer's access to the Service for any reason whatsoever. No notice will be required to be given of such action and SingTel Mobile shall not be liable in damages or otherwise for such suspension, restriction or termination.
6 Customer Obligations and Acknowledgments
6.1 The Customer agrees not to use and not to allow or permit any other person to use the Service to:
a cause any threat, harassment, distress, annoyance, inconvenience or anxiety to any person whomsoever or violate or infringe any other person's rights (including but not limited to the right of privacy), or interfere with another person's use of the Service;
b violate any laws, policies, guidelines or regulations of the Territory, including but not limited to any laws, policies, guidelines or regulations applicable to the business and operations of SingTel Mobile and/or any SingTel Group Company;
c carry out any activities which SingTel Mobile considers to be actually or potentially injurious to other Customers or persons, or to the operation or reputation of SingTel Mobile and/or any SingTel Group Company; and / or
d do any act that may at any time be prohibited by SingTel's Acceptable Use Policy which can be found at URL www.singtel.com.
6.2 The Customer acknowledges and agrees that:
a the subscription to and use of the Service shall be deemed as acceptance to be bound by all the terms and conditions herein contained.
b the use of the Service shall solely be for lawful purposes.
c the Customer's mobile number may be disclosed to SingTel or its business partners in order to facilitate the provision of this Service.
d the accuracy of the Service will vary as the Service is dependent on computer software programs and global positioning systems.
e SingTel Mobile in no way warrants the accuracy of any location and/or any navigation delivered by the Service.
f the Service is dependent on network availability and coverage.
g SingTel Mobile reserves the right at its absolute discretion to discontinue and/or suspend the Service without any liability whatsoever to the Customer.
h standard data charges of SingTel Mobile, as may be amended from time to time shall apply unless otherwise stated.
i the Service is only available in the Territory and may not be available in certain areas in the Territory.
j SingTel Mobile does not control any third party content, resources, products, information and/or services which may be used in the provision of the Service and/or which may be accessed, used and/or acquired through the Service and SingTel Mobile does not endorse or guarantee the accuracy, reliability, integrity, legality or quality of such content, resources, products, information and/or services.
k the Service is subject to any changes in the Territory (including but not limited to the construction of new roads, closure of roads, construction of new infrastructure, demolition of existing infrastructure and/or changes in location of existing landmarks).
7 Disclaimers
7.1 The Customer accepts and agrees that SingTel Mobile does not warrant the Service will be provided uninterrupted or free from errors or that any identified defect will be corrected; further, no such warranty is given that the Service is free from any virus or other malicious, destructive or corrupting code or program.
7.2 The Customer further acknowledges and agrees that SingTel Mobile:
a expressly excludes any guarantee, representation, warranty, condition, term, or undertaking of any kind, express or implied, statutory or otherwise or any representations or warranties arising from usage or custom or trade or by operation of law, including (without limitation) as to the sequence, originality, correctness, completeness, accuracy, timeliness, completeness, currency, non-infringement, merchantability, or fitness for any particular purpose in relation to the Service;
b shall not be liable to the Customer for any loss, liability, costs and/or damage whatsoever (whether direct, indirect or consequential) in respect of any matter howsoever arising (whether in tort, negligence or otherwise) in connection with the provision and/or use of the Service; and
c to the fullest extent permitted by law exclude all warranties, rights and remedies (including warranties implied by statue or otherwise) that the Customer would otherwise be entitled to by law.
8 General
8.1 SingTel Mobile reserves the right to alter, modify, add to or otherwise vary these SingTel Xplorer Terms from time to time by notice to the Customer in such manner as SingTel Mobile deems appropriate. The Customer shall be bound by the terms and conditions so amended. In any event, if the Customer continues to use the Service after such notice, the Customer shall be deemed to have accepted the amendments.
