What is SingTel Fibre BroadBand?

SingTel Fibre BroadBand is SingTel's high speed fibre service and it is delivered via an optical fibre which is run directly into one's home.

Through SingTel Fibre BroadBand services, consumers can enjoy amazing download speeds of up to 300M and upload speeds of up to 150M which is superior to that of any other existing DSL or cable broadband network available. This allows for ultra high speed Internet access, digital voice, Internet television services, home networking and other lifestyle applications.

Customers can enjoy bandwidth intensive applications such as simultaneous music downloads, home office and home networking with greater ease and also run multiple applications on one PC such as online chat, web access and music or video downloads.

What are the key applications I can enjoy with SingTel Fibre BroadBand?

exPress Portal

With the exPress Portal, customers can freely express their personalities as well as stay closer to their loved ones anytime, anywhere. They will enjoy features like unified messaging, online storage and sharing of multimedia content and high quality multi-party video chat. With unified messaging, customers have single access to multiple social networking sites and enjoy chat aggregation. They can customise their exPress Portal homescreen for easy access to their favourite multimedia content like news, videos, music etc – all on a single online web portal.

May I sign up for SingTel Fibre BroadBand if my estate is currently not Fibre to the Home ready?

What is Fixed Line Number Retention Service?

Fixed Line Number Retention is a number portability service that allows you to retain your existing telephone phone number when you switch from other service provider to SingTel. Enjoy crystal clear calls with our SingTel Telephone Line or unlimited local calls with Home Digital Line without giving up your existing telephone phone number.

Visit our SingTel Shops if you wish to apply for this service. Upon application, we would arrange on your behalf with the other service provider to terminate your existing fixed-line service and transfer it to SingTel. The process would typically take more than 7 working days as time is required by the other operator to process the request. Once the service is activated, your telephone number (from the other service provider) will be port over.

    How long does it take for my SingTel Fibre BroadBand services to be activated?

    SingTel Fibre BroadBand services may be activated after 5 working days, subjected to availability of resources.

    I am currently a SingNet Home BroadBand customer on ADSL without any contract. Can I upgrade to SingTel Fibre BroadBand? How do I go about doing so?

    Yes you may sign up for SingTel Fibre BroadBand if you are currently a SingNet Home BroadBand customer on ADSL without any contract.

    I am currently a SingNet customer with a minimum subscription period (contract) to be fulfilled. Am I eligible for the upgrade to SingTel Fibre BroadBand services?

    You may refer to the following table for the eligibility criteria. However please note an additional Upgrade Charge of $130* is applicable if your current SingNet contract [including SNBB ADSL (No Frills)/ mio Home/mio Plan] is within its first 12 months. You wish to sign up for

    What happens to the contract balance on my original contract of my mio Plan / mio Home after I have upgraded to a SingTel Fibre BroadBand service plan?

    Your original contract will be cease and you will start your new SingTel Fibre BroadBand service plan on a 24-month contract if you meet the eligibility criteria.

    What happens if I have existing contracts with mio TV and/or Home Digital Line?

    If you are an existing mio TV subscriber, you are eligible to sign up for a 24-month SingTel Fibre BroadBand service plan. Your existing mio TV content contract (if any) will still continue.

    If you are an existing Home Digital Line subscriber, you are eligible to sign up for a 24-month SingTel Fibre BroadBand service contract anytime within the duration of your Home Digital Line contract.

    Do I need to change out my current SNBB UserID, email and password when I sign up for any SingTel Fibre Entertainment Bundle package?

    Your existing SingNet access ID, email UserID and password will remain unchanged.

    Can I maintain my existing user ID if I am to migrate from dialup or Magix plan to SingTel Fibre BroadBand service plan?

    Dial-up customers will be able to retain their existing user ID and email address.

    For Magix customers, you will be able to retain your user ID only if the user ID is available.

    Will there be any charges for conversion if I plan to migrate from SingNet 56K dial-up or Magix plan to SingTel Fibre BroadBand service plans?

    There are no additional charges for conversion from SingNet 56K dial-up or Magix to SingTel Fibre BroadBand service plans.

    Will there be any downtime if I am to migrate from dialup or Magix plan to SingTel Fibre BroadBand?

    You may experience down time on your existing services on the day of your installation.

    I am currently a SingTel Home BroadBand subscriber on ADSL. Can I apply for SingTel Fibre BroadBand service plans without terminating my existing SingTel Home BroadBand ADSL services?

    Yes, you can. This is because SingTel Home BroadBand on ADSL uses telephone lines which are different from the fibre optic infrastructure which will deliver high quality SingTel Fibre BroadBand services into your home.

    How much email storage space is provided?

    You will enjoy 30Mb email FREE as your main email account.

    Can I upgrade or change my SingTel Fibre BroadBand service plan anytime within the contractual period? Will there be any charges?

    You may upgrade your plan from SingTel Fibre Home Bundle 150 to SingTel Fibre Entertainment Bundle / SingTel Fibre Entertainment Bundle Sports / exCite Home at any point of your current SingTel Fibre Home Bundle 150 contract. However, you will have to sign up for a new 24 months SingTel Fibre Entertainment Bundle / SingTel Fibre Entertainment Bundle Sports / exCite Home contract.

    If I am going to relocate to a new house where the area is without Fibre to the Home coverage, what should I do?

    In the event that your SingTel Fibre BroadBand service plans cannot be provisioned due to Fibre to the Home coverage issues, SingNet reserves the right to terminate your current plan without termination charges and to provide you with a no frills 15M mio Home ADSL plan (Applicable for all Fibre Entertainment Bundle) or 15M SingTel Home BroadBand on ADSL (applicable for 150M SingTel Fibre Home Bundle bundles only). You will have to continue to serve the remaining months of your contract. All promotional VASes that are exclusive with the SingTel Fibre BroadBand service plan would cease.

    In the event that if you do not wish to continue with your SingTel Fibre BroadBand services during relocation and do not want a 15M mio Home ADSL (Applicable for all Fibre Entertainment Bundle/exCite bundles) or 15M SingTel Home BroadBand on ADSL contract (applicable for 150M SingTel Fibre Home Bundle only), then termination charges for your current SingTel Fibre BroadBand service plans shall apply.

    What equipment is required to enable my SingTel Fibre BroadBand service?

    • 1st TP (Fibre Termination Point), which is to be installed by OpenNet
    • ONT (Optical Network Terminal), this device is to connect to the home devices

    What are the installation charges like?

    If you missed your free prior appointment with OpenNet, an installation charge of $235.40 (with 7% GST) for High Rise or $481.50 (with 7% GST) for landed property is applicable. The above amount is charged on behalf of OpenNet.

    If you have already made an appointment with OpenNet to lay the fibre and install the 1st TP (Fibre Termination Point) to your home, a SingTel installation appointment would only be required to set up your SingTel Fibre BroadBand services.

    An installation charge of $90* (weekdays) or $145* (weekends) by SingTel is applicable for installation of equipment, activation and demo of service. This installation charge will also be levied if the customer is not available for installation appointment or does not meet the minimum system requirements.

    Wiring charge of $80.25 will apply for wiring service from the modem to each computer/device within the first 35m, additional $10 is applicable for every subsequent 5m wiring length. The wiring service is free for 1st mioTV set-top box on SingTel Fibre Entertainment Bundle, however it is chargeable for each subsequent new mioTV set-top box sign-ups.

    A registration charge of $53.50* is applicable for all SingTel Fibre Home Bundle plans.

    When can I request for installation to take place?

    You are required to book an appointment with OpenNet to lay the fibre and install the 1st TP to your home.

    Your OpenNet installation appointment may be scheduled at any of the following times:

    Mondays – Fridays
    (excluding Weekends & Public Holidays)
    High-Rise
    9am - 11am
    11am - 1pm
    2pm - 4pm
    4pm - 6pm
    Landed
    9am - 1pm
    2pm - 6pm

    Thereafter, you are required to attend to another appointment by SingNet to enable your SingTel Fibre BroadBand services

     

    Your SingNet Fibre installation appointment may be scheduled at any of the following times:

    Can I self-install my SingTel Fibre BroadBand service plans?

    Due to the complexity of Fibre to the Home, all SingTel Fibre BroadBand service plans will require an installation by a qualified SingNet installer.

    What are the available in-house wiring solutions?

    Cables with surface trunking will be used for in-house wiring solution. There is also HomePNA technology which uses the in-home coaxial cable to deliver services (mio TV, SingTel Home BroadBand and SingTel Fibre BroadBand) without the need of extra in-home wiring.

    HomePNA is currently on trial for limited number of landed properties and condominiums by invitation only, the trial is not opened for public registration

    What happens if I miss my scheduled OpenNet installation timeslot?

    You are required to notify us at least 3 days in advance if you need to change your OpenNet appointment time. You may do so by calling SingTel Customer Care at 1688.

    Note that if you missed the OpenNet installation appointment or changed the OpenNet appointment without notifying SingNet 3 days in advance, OpenNet cancellation fees will apply.

    Can I purchase my own equipment instead of using the devices issued by SingNet?

    All necessary equipment to enable your SingTel Fibre BroadBand services are provided unless otherwise stated. Please note that SingNet does not guarantee and support equipment that is not type-approved by both the IDA and SingNet.

    What happens if any of the equipment is damaged?

    For the duration of your SingTel Fibre BroadBand service contract, you are entitled to one-for-one replacement of the mio Box, ONT and/or the set top box - except under conditions deemed abnormal to typical wear and tear.

    Such conditions include but are not limited to:

    • spilled liquids including permanent discolouration of equipment casing
    • attempted modifications to or repair of the equipment other than by a SingNet authorized agent
    • cracks, dented or chipped equipment casing
    • Permanent defacement of equipment casing including markings due to permanent/inerasable marker or irremovable dirt, and disfigurement of the SingTel logo.
    • tampering/torn or missing manufacturing labels such as Serial No./Warranty of the device
    • other vandalisms like permanent glue on the ports, points and casing

    I have damaged my Fibre equipment. How can I replace them?

    You will be required to purchase the equipment (at prevailing rates) for replacement. Such equipment are…

    • ONT

    For other equipment such as the Fibre Termination Point, an OpenNet installation will be required and charges will be (at prevailing rates) dependant on scope of work.

    Can I use my fibre equipment at my friend's home since he subscribes to the same SingTel Fibre BroadBand service plan as I do?

    No. All your fibre equipment is preconfigured to a specific premise. It will not function when you moved the equipment to another location.

    I have an existing ADSL modem or mio Box. Can I use this instead?

    Your existing equipment is not configured for use on a Fibre to the Home network.

    What is the minimum setup for my computer?

    2. Definitions

      "Customer" means a person who subscribes to the Service.

      "GST" means the tax chargeable under the Goods and Services Tax Act (Cap 117A) of Singapore on the supply of goods and services in Singapore and the importation of goods into Singapore.

      "Related Corporation" has the meaning given to that term in Section 6 of the Singapore Companies Act, Chapter 50.

      "Service(s)" means the SingTel Fibre BroadBand service offered by SingNet.

      "SingNet" means SingNet Pte Ltd (Company Registration No. 199802130W).

      "SingTel Mobile" means SingTel Mobile Singapore Private Limited and its successors.

      "SingTel Mobile Service" means the provision and/or maintenance by SingTel Mobile of a Mobile Line and any additional services as may be offered or provided by SingTel Mobile

      "BroadBand on Fibre" means the provision and/or maintenance by SingNet of a BroadBand on Fibre service and any additional services as may be offered or provided by SingNet

      "mio Plan" means a service package consisting of and bundling the following Services under a single price plan with a fixed monthly charge:

      1. SingTel Mobile Service;
      2. SingTel Home Digital Line or SingTel Telephone Line Service
      3. SingTel Home BroadBand Service

      (each to be described as "Individual Service(s)")

       

      "SingNet mio Home Plan" means a service package consisting of and bundling the following Services under a single price plan with a fixed monthly charge:

      1. SingTel mio TV Service;
      2. SingTel Home Digital Line or SingTel Telephone Line Service
      3. SingTel Home BroadBand Service

      (each to be described as "Individual Service(s)")

      "Bundled Services" means SingNet mio Home Plan and mio Plan

      "SingTel Fibre Entertainment Bundle" means a service package consisting of and bundling the following Services under a single price plan with a fixed monthly charge:

      1. SingTel mio TV service
      2. SingTel Home Digital Line or SingTel Telephone Line Service
      3. SingTel Home BroadBand on Fibre Service

      (each to be described as "Individual Service(s)")

      "SingTel Fibre Home Bundle 150" means a service package consisting of and bundling the following Services under a single price plan with a fixed monthly charge:

      1. SingTel Home Digital Line or SingTel Telephone Line Service
      2. SingTel Home BroadBand on Fibre Service

      (each to be described as "Individual Service(s)")

      "SingTel Fibre BroadBand Bundled Services" means SingTel Fibre Entertainment Bundle

      "SingTel Fibre BroadBand Services" means SingTel Fibre Home Bundle and SingTel Fibre Entertainment Bundle

      "SingTel" means Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (Company Registration No. 199201624D) and its successors.

      "SingTel Group Companies" means SingTel and each Related Corporation of SingTel in Singapore.

      DESCRIPTION

      SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS

      1)

      Customer Eligibility

      New customers
      If the Customer is a new individual customer who currently does not subscribe to any of the Individual Services and intends to apply for the Service, the Customer has to meet the following requirements:

      1. The Customer must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident of Singapore;
      2. The Customer must be at least eighteen (18) years old;
      3. The Customer must sign up as an individual customer using his/her residential address and NRIC number.
      4. If a Customer is a foreigner, the Customer must be an Employment Pass Holder, Work Permit Holder or Dependent Pass Holder (with a minimum validity period of twelve (12) months) and be at least twenty-one (21) years of age;
      5. The Customer must apply for and subscribe to the Service under one NRIC/Passport/FIN and/or other identification number, as an individual using his/her name and the Service shall be provided under one (1) account only;
      6. The Customer must continue to meet all of the eligibility criteria for each of the Individual Services as may be specified by SingNet from time to time;
      7. The Customer must have no outstanding amount due to any of the SingTel Group Companies.

      Existing Customers of any of the Individual Services or customers with existing subscriptions to the SingNet mio Home Plan or the mio Plan

      Customers, who are currently subscribers of either (i) any of the Individual Services; (ii) the SingNet mio Home Plan; or (iii) the mio Plan, are eligible for the Service subject to the following::

      1. The Customer must be at least 18 years of age (if the Customer is a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident or 21 years of age (if the Customer is a foreigner).
      2. The Customer must apply for and subscribe to the Service under one NRIC/Passport/FIN and/or other identification number, as an individual using his/her name and the Services shall be provided under one (1) account only.
      3. If the Customer is an existing subscriber of the SingTel Home BroadBand Service and has received a free premium in connection to such subscription, the Customer's subscription to the SingTel Home BroadBand Service must have a remaining term of six (6) months or less. If the remaining term is more than six (6) months, the Customer will have to terminate the existing subscription for SingTel Home BroadBand Service and pay the prevailing termination charges before the Customer can be eligible for the Service.
      4. If the Customer is an existing subscriber of the SingNet mio Home Plan or the mio Plan and wish to sign up for SingTel Fibre Home Bundle, the Customer's subscription to the SingNet mio Home Plan or mio Plan must have a remaining term of three (3) months or less. If the remaining term is more than three (3) months, the Customer will have to terminate the existing subscription for SingNet mio Home Plan or mio Plan and pay the prevailing termination charges before the Customer can be eligible for the Service.
      5. The Customer must continue to meet all of the eligibility criteria for each of the Individual Services or the SingNet mio Home Plan or the mio Plan (where applicable).
      6. The remainder of the subscription period(s) for the Customer's existing contracts for SingNet mio Home Plan mio Plan and/or the Individual Services (where applicable) shall be superseded by the Minimum Subscription Period (as defined below)

       

      2)

      Minimum Subscription Period and Service Activation

       

      The minimum subscription period for the Service shall be a period of twenty four (24) months or any other period determined by SingNet from time to time ("Minimum Subscription Period").

       

      The Minimum Subscription Period for the Service will commence on the date on which the last Individual Service comprising the Service is activated ("Contract Start Date"), and subject further to the following:

      1. if the Customer's activation date of the SingTel Home BroadBand on Fibre occurs before the Contract Start Date, he/she will enjoy free subscription for SingTel Home BroadBand on Fibre between such activation date and the Contract Start Date.
      2. if the Customer's activation date of the exCite TV Service occurs before the Contract Start Date, the Customer will enjoy free subscription for exCite TV for the period between such activation date and the Contract Start Date.
      3. if the Customer's activation date of the SingTel Telephone Service or SingTel Home Digital occurs before the Contract Start Date, the Customer will enjoy free subscription for SingTel Telephone Service or SingTel Home Digital Line (where applicable) for the period between such activation date and the Contract Start Date.

       

      3)

      Fees and Registration

      A registration charge (at prevailing rates) will be payable upon application for the Service.

      In addition to the registration charge, if a Customer is a foreigner, the following deposits shall be payable by the Customer:

      1. For new Customers not currently subscribing to any of the Individual Services, a minimum deposit of $400 will be payable upon application for the Service.
      2. For existing customers currently subscribing to one (1) Individual Service only, a minimum deposit of $200 will be payable upon application for the Service.
      3. For Customers taking more than exCite TV Service, a minimum deposit of $400 per exCite TV Service will be payable upon application for the exCite TV Service.

      SingNet reserves the right to impose a deposit on any Customer (whether foreigner or otherwise) in addition to the abovementioned registration charge and deposits in accordance with SingNet's prevailing credit rating policy.

      The Customer shall pay a monthly fee for the use and subscription of the Service in accordance with prevailing rates specified by SingNet from time to time and as set out in the Sales and Agreement Form.

      3a

      Installation Charges

       

      The Customer shall pay the installation charges (at prevailing rates) imposed by SingNet for the installation of the Service in the following circumstances:

       

      1. Installation of SingTel Home BroadBand on Fibre and/or any SingNet approved equipment including but not limited to modems for each and every on-site installation during or after the Minimum Subscription Period;
      2. Change of date or time or cancellation of installation appointment;
      3. If the Customer misses the appointment/is not at home during the appointed time;
      4. If the Customer is unable to meet minimum system requirements for the Service (including but not limited to PC or notebook incompatibility, modem incompatible or internal wiring problems;
      5. Service Maintenance and maintenance evaluations (which includes any work done to the PC/notebook and/or modem to facilitate the Service; and
      6. Any relocation of the Service to another premise.

      The Customer further acknowledges and agrees that any additional cost of equipments or associated accessories required to provision the Service shall be chargeable to the Customer at prevailing rates of SingNet and/or any applicable third parties.

      4)

      Modem Policy

      • Warranty (Modem Maintenance) on modem as long as customer is under contract
      • The incompatible/existing modem need not be returned to SingTel if
        • Customer is issued a new modem to replace the existing incompatible modem or
        • Customer decides to terminate SingTel BroadBand
      With effect from 19 Mar 2013, no new modems will be issued to existing Customers who recontract & upgrade to other price plans. Free wireless modem is only applicable to customers for new BroadBand plan sign up or existing customers with incompatible modems. Existing customers with compatible modems will have the warranty of their existing modems extended till the end of new contract period.

      5)

      Upgrade and Downgrade of Service

      There will be no charge if the Customer upgrades the Service during the Minimum Subscription Period.

      The Customer shall be liable to pay a downgrade charge (at prevailing rates), if the Customer downgrades the Service during the Minimum Subscription Period depending on the Customer's subscription to the Service. The downgrade charges are available on the Sales and Agreement Form.

       

      6)

      Relocation of Service

      If a Customer relocates to another premise, the Customer may make an application for the relocation of the Service to the new premises subject to any applicable fees and charges. The Customer acknowledges that any relocation of the Service shall only be effective if the new premise is within the coverage of the fiber network.

      A relocation charge will apply and this will include basic installation of all equipment required for the Service at the Customer's new premises. Any additional equipment will be subject to prevailing charges. The Customer's subscription to the Service shall remain valid and binding on the Customer during such re-location notwithstanding disruption in all or any of the Individual Services.

      In the event that a Customer's Service cannot be provisioned at the new premises because it falls outside of the service availability area, SingNet reserves the right to terminate the Customer's subscription to the Service and to offer the Customer a SingNet mio Home Plan at the discretion of SingNet.

      If the Customer opts to take up the SingNet mio Home Plan, the early termination charges for the Service will be waived. However, additional charges for relocation and installation of SingNet mio Home Plan at the Customer's new premises shall apply. The Minimum Subscription Period for the Customer's mio Home Plan (if any) shall be deemed to have commenced from the Contract Start Date of the Service.

      In the event that the Customer decides not to take up a SingNet mio Home Plan, then the Customer shall be deemed to have terminated the Service and the early termination charges for the Service shall apply.

       

      7)

      Transfer of Service

      Pursuant to the requirement that all the Individual Services under the Service must be under one account, Customers with existing Individual Services may transfer the Individual Service(s) under his/her account to another account so that all the Individual Services may be consolidated and held under one account. All administrative charges due to such transfer of Individual Service(s) between accounts of existing customers will be waived unless otherwise specified by SingNet.

      An administrative charge is applicable (at prevailing rates) for the transfer of Individual Service(s) from an existing SingNet or any SingTel Group Company customer to a person who is not an existing SingNet or SingTel Group Company customer receiving any of the Individual Services.

      The Service is transferable provided that the transferee executes the relevant documents and agrees to be bound by the transferor's existing contract including but not limited to the applicability of premature termination and downgrade charges and all terms and conditions applicable to the Service.

      An administrative charge is applicable (at prevailing rates) for the Customer's transfer of his Service.

      8)

      Termination of Service

      The Customer may request to terminate the Service or any of the Individual Services by calling SingNet's Customer Service Hotline at 1688 to specify which of the Individual Service(s) that the Customer wishes to terminate.

       

      Where the Customer terminates the Service or where the Customer becomes ineligible to continue the subscription to the Service, resulting in automatic termination of the Service, the Customer shall be liable for all outstanding and applicable fees and charges (at prevailing rates) pertaining to the Service, including but not limited to early termination charges and equipment charges.

      If the Customer terminates any one of the Individual Services under the Service during the Minimum Subscription Period, early termination charges (at prevailing rates) will apply as more particularly set out in the respective Sales and Agreement Form.

      If the Customer terminates one or more of the Individual Services, the Customer will no longer be eligible for the Service. The Customer's Service will be automatically terminated in such an event and early termination charges (at prevailing rates) will apply as more particularly detailed in the Sales and Agreement Form if such termination occurs prior to expiry of the Minimum Subscription Period

       

      There will be no termination charges if the Customer cancels the Service before the day of installation of the Service. The Customer will however be liable to pay the relevant prevailing cancellation charges for cancellation of any or all of the Individual Services.

      For the avoidance of doubt, termination of the Service does not result in automatic termination of all or any of the Individual Services. All Individual Services that are not terminated by the Customer will continue as individual contracts for the remaining term of the Minimum Subscription Period and will be subject to prevailing prices/rates/charges applicable to the respective Individual Services at the time of termination of the Service.

       

       

      9)

      Requirements and Limitations of the Service

      The Customer's premise must be fibre serviceable. A Customer will be deemed ineligible to sign up for the Service if the Customer is not fibre serviceable and SingNet shall not be liable in any way whatsoever for such lack of fibre serviceable coverage.

      The Customer will be required to have 2 installation appointments. An installation by a third party (not being SingNet) will be required to install the Fibre Termination Point before the SingNet installation for the Services can take place. The Customer will be liable for all such installation charges at prevailing rates unless otherwise stated.

      The Customer is solely liable for ensuring that any equipment to be used with the Service is compatible with the Service and meets the requirements specified by SingNet. The minimum system requirements for computers to be used with the Service shall be as follows:

      Base-T Network Interface Card preferred (100 Base-T Network Interface Card is recommended to achieve full bandwidth)

      150Mbps SingTel Fibre Home Bundle offers BroadBand download speed of up to 150Mbps, upload speed of up to 75Mbps. SingTel Fibre Entertainment Bundled Services offers BroadBand download speed of up to 200Mbps, upload speed of up to 100Mbps. This is subjected at all times to prevailing geographical, network and usage conditions.

      The Customer acknowledges and agrees that Service availability and/or performance is subject to:

      1. availability of suitable equipment and accessories;
      2. the types of television sets, telephones, personal computers or laptops;
      3. availability of resources including, without limitation, availability of a suitable network infrastructure and fibre coverage at the time the Service is requested or delivered;
      4. geographical and technical capability of the fibre network and SingNet's delivery systems at the time and location at which the Service is requested or delivered; and
      5. any factors which are controlled by and/or dependent on the 3rd party provider of the fibre coverage network.

       

      The Customer accepts and agrees that neither SingNet nor any SingTel Group Company shall be responsible to the Customer for any loss, damage, claim or compensation of whatever nature arising from or related to the use by the Customer of the Service including but not limited to disruptions, delays, errors or unavailability of the Service and/or any damage to equipment or the premises of the Customer.

       

      10)

      SingNet's Management of Systems and Data

      SingNet and the SingTel Group Companies reserves the right to manage and control access to any computer or other electronic or telecommunications system operated or used in relation to the Service or linked to any computer or other electronic or telecommunications system operated or used in relation to the Service and any data stored therein in a manner deemed appropriate by SingNet and/or any of the SingTel Group Companies (whether belonging to, provided or stored by the Customer or otherwise), notwithstanding that such access and the storage of such data is a requirement or constitutes a part of the Service.

      11)

      Use of Information

      The Customer further acknowledges and agrees that SingNet and any of the SingTel Group Companies may access, preserve, monitor, use and disclose any information relating to the use of the Service by the Customer as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain and improve the Service, and to respond to requests for customer service.

      12)

      General

      Any Clause in these Specific Terms and Conditions, or any other terms and conditions as may be agreed or accepted by the Customer as incorporated into these Specific Terms and Conditions, that is invalid, unenforceable or illegal shall be enforced as nearly as possible in accordance with its terms, but shall otherwise be deemed severed and shall not affect the enforceability of any other Clauses, which Clauses shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

      13)

      Variation of Terms

      These Specific Terms and Conditions may be amended by SingNet from time to time by notice to the Customer in such manner as SingNet deems appropriate. The Customer shall be bound by the terms and conditions so amended. In any event, if the Customer continues to use the Service after such notice, the Customer shall be deemed to have accepted the amendment.

      14)

      Governing Law

      These Specific Terms and Conditions shall be subject to and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore and the Customer and SingNet hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the Republic of Singapore.
