Where are the popular hotspots that I can access the Wireless@SG service?

The hotspots include cafes like Starbucks, Delifrance, Spinneli, DOME, Gelare café; restaurants like Burger King, Ichiban Boshi and Fiesta; public libraries, country clubs, community centres, shopping malls like Ngee Ann City, Paragon and Raffles City.

How can I enjoy the Free Wireless@SG services?

All customers will be required to sign up for the service in order to enjoy Wireless@SG.

How do I connect to Wireless@SG?

  1. At the hotspot, enable your wireless networking and select "Wireless@SG" from the list of available networks.
  2. Launch your Internet browser.
  3. A login page will appear to prompt for your SingNet or SingTel Mobile User ID and Password.

    For SingNet Customers
    - Type in your SingNet Dial-up / BroadBand User ID, followed by @singnet and your corresponding password.

    For SingTel Mobile Customers
    - Your login ID is your mobile phone number, followed by @stm For eg, 91234567@stm
    - Your password is your IDEAS password or the password you received via 9434 (WiFi)

  4. Upon successful authentication, the webpage of the requested URL will appear and you will be connected to the Internet. (Note: For corporate users, it is recommended to use your Company's Virtual Private Network (VPN) when accessing corporate information and data at the wireless hotspots for added security.)
  5. To end your Internet session, type "logout." at the URL bar.

How much do I pay for Wireless@SG service?

With SingTel, the basic Wireless@SG service is FREE till 31 March 2017.

 

You can also sign up for the enhanced service (known as Wireless Plus 3000) at a monthly fee of $10.59. The enhanced service offers you a superior download speed of 3Mbps, thus giving you a higher bandwidth for video services.

What do I need to access Wireless@SG service?

I am an existing SingNet Outdoor Wireless Surf unlimited plan subscriber. What is the difference between the existing service and the new Wireless@SG service?

Existing SingNet Outdoor Wireless Surf unlimited plan will be renamed Wireless Plus 3000. The monthly subscription fee for Wireless Plus 3000 is $10.59, which will offer you a superior download speed of 3Mbps, thus giving you a higher bandwidth for video services.

Do I need a username and password to connect?

You do not need a username and password to connect to Wireless@SG. When your EAP-SIM supported device is within the coverage area and the Wi-Fi radio is on, it will be connected automatically.

Do I need to register my SingTel Postpaid SIM card before I can use the service?

No registration is required to enjoy the service.

If my device is currently connected to 3G or 4G and my Wi-Fi is on, will it be switched to Wireless@SG when I am within the coverage area?

Yes, your device will automatically connect to Wireless@SG.

My Wi-Fi connection is slow, what can I do?

You can switch back to your mobile connection by switching the Wi-Fi radio to 'off'. You could have been experiencing a slower connection due to a weaker signal.

Wireless@SG ("Service")

 

  1. This is a free service offered to Customers commencing on 1 Dec 2006 and ending on 31 Mar 2017 ("Free Service Period"). The Service will be offered, free of charge, only during the Free Service Period regardless of the time of application. SingNet shall have the sole discretion to decide whether to discontinue the Free Service Period at any time it deems fit without incurring any liability to the Customer. SingNet shall have the sole discretion to decide whether to extend the Free Service Period or to impose charges thereafter. SingNet shall inform the Customer at least one (1) month prior to the expiry of the Free Service Period, of its decision and the relevant charges (if applicable) after the Free Service Period.
  2. The terms & conditions herein are applicable in addition to Singapore Telecommunication Limited's ("SingTel") General Terms and Conditions of Service, Terms of Use, Billing Terms and SingNet's Terms and Conditions of Service. For the avoidance of doubt, these terms and conditions, subject to the amendment provisions contained therein, shall continue to apply after the Free Service Period as long as the Service is provided.
  3. The Customer shall comply with the registration and application procedure prior to using the Service including express acceptance of these terms.
  4. SingNet does not guarantee the suitability of the Service for any specific application or purpose intended by the Customer. Signal strength may vary or fail altogether due to certain factors which are not within SingNet's control, including, but not limited to, building structure, building material, natural or artificial barriers, electrical or electromechanical interference and/or weather conditions. SingNet shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from such interference or failure.
  5. Due to the nature of the Service, there is an inherent risk of wrongful, illegal or unauthorised access by third parties to the Customer's computer(s) and/or account(s). The Customer hereby acknowledges and accepts the risk of such wrongful, illegal or unauthorised access and hereby agrees that SingNet shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from such activities in general.
  6. The Customer accepts and agrees that SingNet does not warrant that the Service will be provided uninterrupted or free from errors or that any identified defect will be corrected.
  7. SingNet shall not be liable to the Customer for any loss, liability, costs and/or damage whatsoever (whether direct, indirect or consequential) in respect of any matter howsoever arising (whether in tort, negligence or otherwise) in connection with the provision and/or use of the Service.
  8. The Customer agrees not to use the Service in violation of any laws or regulations applicable from time to time; or to misuse the Service in any manner deemed inappropriate by SingNet; or to allow any use of the Service to interfere with other users' access to and use of the Service.
  9. The Customer shall protect the secrecy of his login User ID and Password at all times. SingNet shall hold the Customer solely responsible for all unauthorised or illegal transactions or activities carried out under the Customer's account.
  10. SingNet reserves the right to terminate the Customer's account at any time due to breach or non-compliance of any these terms and/or the terms and conditions referred to above which are applicable and binding on the Customer at all times.
  11. SingNet reserves the right at its absolute discretion to discontinue and/or suspend the service whether in whole or in part without any liability whatsoever to the Customer.
  12. SingNet reserves the right to post advertising and/or promotional content or messages at SingNet's access website, including sending mobile vouchers to the Customer, from time to time. The Customer hereby provides consent to SingNet to use the Customer's information for transmission of such advertising and/or promotional content or messages.
  13. SingNet reserves the right to alter, modify, add to or otherwise vary these terms from time to time by notice to the Customer in such manner as SingNet deems appropriate. The Customer shall be bound by the terms and conditions so amended. In any event, if the Customer continues to use the Service after such notice, the Customer shall be deemed to have accepted the amendments.

 

Wireless Plus 3000 ("Service")

 

  1. The rates quoted above are subject to change at SingNet's sole discretion and without prior notification.
  2. The rates quoted above are exclusive of Goods and Services Tax, which will be applicable in addition, based on prevailing rates.
  3. This Service has a contractual minimum subscription period of 3 months. Early termination charges will be imposed as may be determined by SingNet from time to time if the Customer terminates the account within the minimum subscription period.
  4. The terms & conditions herein are applicable in addition to Singapore Telecommunication Limited's ("SingTel") General Terms and Conditions of Service, Terms of Use, Billing Terms and SingNet's Terms & Conditions of Service.
