How to Use Your Hello!TM Card

Direct Call with a Hello!TM Card
  1. Dial the toll-free number 1800 533 3333 and select your preferred language.
  2. Enter the 12-digit card number, followed by the “#” key.
  3. You will hear the following feature options:
    • To register your phone number so that you need not dial the card number every time you make a call
    • To make an overseas call
    • To top-up your card
    • To check your card balance and card expiry date
  4. Make a selection of the feature option and follow the instructions in the voice system.
  5. If this is the first use of your card, you may wish to press 1 to register your telephone number. (Note: After registration, you will not be asked to enter the card number again.)
  6. If u press 2 to make overseas call, subsequently enter the country code, area code and telephone number you wish to dial, followed by the “#” key.
  7. If u press 3 to top-up your card, you will require to enter your new Hello!TM Card number, followed by the “#” key. (Note: You will need to buy a new Hello!TM Card to top up your existing card’s value before your card balance reaches 10 cents.) Upon successful top-up, you will hear your new card value and expiry date. The second card balance used to top-up will be zero.
  8. If u press 4 to check your card balance and card expiry date, you will hear your remaining card value and expiry date.
Callback option with a Hello!™ Card
  1. Dial 1800 225 2225.
  2. Select your preferred language, followed by the “#” key. Then dial your Hello!TM Card number, followed by the “#” key.
  3. You will hear the following feature options:
    • To register your phone number so that you need not dial the card number every time you make a call
    • To make an overseas call
    • To top-up your card
    • To check your card balance and card expiry date

  1. You can skip keying in your 12-digit Hello!TM Card number each time you make a call by registering your home or mobile number to a new Hello!TM Card.

Can I make local calls using the Hello!™Card?

No. The Hello!™ Card is only meant for making outgoing calls from Singapore to 21 popular foreign destinations.

Do I need to register or subscribe before I use the Hello!™Card?

No, subscription is not required. However, registration of Hello!™ Card number on your fixed or mobile line is available and strongly encouraged to allow easy dialing for subsequent calls.

What are the additional features of the Hello!™ Card?

You can register your telephone number with the new Hello!™ Cards. After registration, subsequent calls will be hassle-free. Re-dial of the last successfully dialed number is also easier.

Is there an expiry date for Hello! Card?

Yes, the expiry date is printed on the back of each card. After the expiry date, the card can no longer be use. Once you make the first call with the card, all unused value shall expire within 90 days from the date of card activation unless a fresh top-up from a new card is made within the 90-days period. There will be no refund for any unused card balance.

How do I know my card balance and expiry?

You can check your existing card balance and expiry by by calling the voice system.

Next, follow these steps:

  1. Select your Preferred Language
  2. Enter Card number
  3. Press 4 for Card Balance and Expiry Feature Selection

You will be informed of the remaining balance available on your card.

What happens if the card has expired or contains zero value after it is registered with a telephone number?

The system will automatically de-link your registration when the Hello!™ Card has expired or has $0 balance. You may purchase a new Hello!™ Card register it.

Can the existing Hello!™ Card be topped up to extend the expiry?

You can top up the card value by purchasing another $10 Hello!™ Card to transfer the new card value to the existing card. You can do this by calling the voice system and follow these steps:

  1. Select your Preferred Language
  2. Enter Card number
  3. Press 3 for Card Top-up Feature Selection
  4. Enter the new card number purchased

You will be informed of the successful top-up transaction together with the new balance and expiry date available on your card.

How many times can I register a new Hello!TM Card to my telephone number?

Only one Hello!™ Card number is allowed per telephone number at any given time.

Do I need to key in my card number again after registration?

No.

Do I need to hear the whole prompt before I make my selection?

No. You can interrupt at any time during the voice prompts by entering your desired selection.

Is there any service surcharge or connection charge?

There is no service surcharge. However, a $0.10 to $0.40 per call connection charge is applicable to calls made using Hello!™ Card to some countries. If the call is initiated from a SingTel payphone, an additional payphone access charge of $0.06 per minute applies. If the call is initiated from a mobile phone, airtime charges may be imposed by the mobile operator.

How do charging blocks work?

Charging blocks vary by country and are either per minute or an initial block of 1 minute, followed by subsequent blocks of 2 minutes each.

Can I use my Hello!™Card on another fixed or mobile line after I had registered the card with a telephone number?

No, the Hello!™Card can only be used to make calls on the registered telephone number. However, if you wish to use the Hello!™Card on another fixed or mobile line, you can call the voice system on the registered phone number and select the feature option to de-register the phone number from your card.

  1. The card number printed on each card or receipt voucher is unique to that card and the Customer shall be solely responsible for keeping the same safeguard against any unauthorised use.   1. Except where the card is received damaged at the point of sale, once sold it is not refundable and SingTel shall not be liable for any loss, theft or misuse of the card.

 

  1. The liability of SingTel to a Customer, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, in relation to the card shall be limited to the price of the card.

 

  1. All unused value shall expire within ninety (90) days from the date of card activation unless a fresh top-up from a new card is made within the 90-day period.

 

  1. Free $1 Bonus Talktime with every top up of the Hello!™ Card is only valid for top ups made within 7 days of first usage or last top up of an existing Hello!™ Card.

 

  1. Charges for the call shall be as prescribed by SingTel from time-to-time.

 

  1. In addition to the standard calling rate*, a surcharge (Payphone Access Charge) will be levied on calls made using the card from any SingTel payphone.

 

  1. Additional surcharges may apply in certain circumstances.

 

  1. All rates do not include any surcharges or taxes imposed by hotels and other telecommunication companies.

 

  1. Calls made using the card from mobile phones are not toll free and mobile airtime charges may apply.

 

  1. SingTel does not provide refund for any unused portion of the card value whether before or after its expiry date.

The due performance of the service is subject to suspension, variation, cancellation or determination by SingTel by reason of war, riots, explosion, fire, flood, strike, lock-up or any other cause beyond SingTel's control and in the event of such suspension, variation, cancellation or determination arising from such cause, SingTel shall not be liable for any special, indirect consequential, or incidental damages, including, without limitation, damages for loss profits or business.

 

  1. The Customer shall be bound by and shall fully observe and comply with all the SingTel's General Terms and Conditions of Service as well as such other terms and conditions as may be agreed or accepted by the Customer.

 

  1. The rights and protections conferred on SingTel under these Terms and Conditions shall be additional to the rights and protections conferred on SingTel under the General Terms and Conditions and any other terms and conditions agreed or accepted by the Customer.

 

  1. All decisions made by SingTel shall be deemed final and conclusive.
