BlackBerry DataRoam plan covers data usage for the sending & receiving of emails, surfing via the BlackBerry browser and usage on applications developed by RIM, such as BlackBerry Messenger, Facebook, Twitter, BlackBerry Social Feeds, etc. Please note that this is only applicable for BlackBerry smartphones that are OS7.1 and below. For data usage on other applications, prevailing data roaming charges will apply.
If you require
dataroaming usage on all applications (i.e. RIM and non-RIM developed applications), it is recommended that you subscribe to DataRoam Saver plans. For more information on our DataRoam Saver plans, please visit www.singtel.com/dataroam

Why am I still charged for data roaming usage when I was using WiFi only while overseas?

There is a possibility of data connection via your carrier’s network before the WiFi connection is set up if you did not disable dataroaming. The smartphone may also rely on your carrier’s network if the WiFi connection is weak. If you are a Multi-SIM user, the data roaming usage could have been incurred by the other devices. To avoid incurring costly data roaming bills, we strongly advise you to sign up for a DataRoam Saver plan to roam worry-free or turn off data roaming via the following modes:
