Why are there new tiers in SingTel's Flexi data-bundled plans?
As 10% of our customers consume 64% of data network while the other 90% use less than 2GB of data a month, this new pricing creates a fairer and more efficient data network.
Will existing customers be affected?
No. Customers on existing Flexi or iFlexi price plans with 12GB data bundle will only be affected if they decide to re-contract or change existing price plans from 1st July 2012.
How do I check my mobile data usage?
You can dial *3282, download the MySingTel App, or visit www.singtel.com.
Otherwise, you can view your mobile data usage on your bill statement.
Why is there an increase in SMS bundled?
So that those who still use SMS as their primary text messaging tool — more than 10% of our customers, will enjoy more savings.
Do I need to pay more to enjoy 4G service?
No. For 4G, simply sign up or re-contract your existing Flexi price plan or an iPlan with Broadband on Mobile Value Added Service on a 4G smartphone.
What is the cost of exceeding data usage?
On the new tiered plans, the excess charge is $5.35 per GB - 500 times cheaper than the current excess charge of $2.76 per MB.
Data-bundled Plans Terms & Conditions
- Data bundle is for local usage only, across 2-year contract period.
- Excess local data usage for Flexi/iFlexi/Blackberry Flexi & BroadBand on Mobile is charged at $0.01/2KB (min of $0.05/data session) up to 1GB at $5.35 (incl. GST). Local Data is capped at $94/month (incl. GST).
- While roaming overseas, prevailing data roaming charges apply.
- Customer must sign a 2-year equipment contract (new or recontract) on the above price plans.
- Corporate Mobile Executive Scheme (CMES) is not applicable.
- A conversion fee applies for existing SingTel Mobile telephone lines under an equipment undertaking agreement term that is converted to CIS.
- Flexi Prestige Plan: Free unlimited Local Calls and Local SMS/MMS are to any local number. Subscribers are to use the service for personal and non- commercial purpose only. This service is conditional on fair usage by customers. SingTel Mobile shall have the sole discretion to assess whether a customer’s usage is excessive. Prevailing charges will be levied on subscribers who abuse the service. Unlimited v019 calls VAS is not applicable for Flexi/iFlexi Prestige price plans.

Flexi & iFlexi’s Typical Download Speed Range that user can experience 80% of the time: 0.8Mbps to 4.8 Mbps. The download speed of the individual price plan will be limited to 64kbps if the monthly data bundle is exceeded at anytime during the customer’s monthly bill cycle. The speed limited will be lifted at the start of the next bill cycle. - Some features, applications and services are not available in all areas.

- Local Talktime is charged based on an initial block of 1 minute and subsequent blocks of 6 seconds rounded to the nearest cent on a per call basis.
