    • Add a new profile by selecting an existing contact from the phonebook or by manually entering profile details

Who is eligible to subscribe for this service (as tracker)?

All SingTel Mobile Postpaid customers are eligible for this service. 

Who is eligible to be tracked under this for this service?

All SingTel Mobile Postpaid and Prepaid customers are eligible to be tracked under this service.

Can I track a user who is a Multi-SIM holder?

No, Locator Plus is unable to support customers who are subscribed to Multi-SIM service.

What are the subscription charges of Locator Plus?

 The subscription plans for Locator Plus are:

-Locator Plus (3 numbers) at $3.21
-Locator Plus (5 numbers) at $5.35
-Locator Plus (10 numbers) at $9.63

Is there any additional charge if I add a new mobile number to the tracking list?

No, it will be based on the subscription plan subscribed.

-For Locator Plus (3 numbers), you can add up to 3 numbers.

-For Locator Plus (5 numbers), you can add up to 5 numbers.

-For Locator Plus (10 numbers), you can add up to 10 numbers.

How many family members can I add to the tracking list?

You can add up to the maximum number of family members in the tracking list, depending on the plans that you are on - Locator Plus (3 numbers, 5 numbers or 10 numbers).

How do I add a family member after my tracking list is full?

You have to first remove one of your existing family member’s profile in your list and create a new family member profile. Please note that you will be charged $0.65 when the request is accepted.

Will my family member be notified when I (tracker) send a request to track my family member?

Yes, your family member has to grant consent in order to be tracked by you.

Will the service work if the family member I am trying to locate has switched off his/her mobile phone?

No, Locator Plus service will not be able to locate the intended family member’s location when his/her mobile phone is switched off.

Will I be able to locate my family member if my mobile phone has no 3G network coverage?

A minimum GPRS/3G network is required. Locator Plus does not work on WiFi.

What are the equipment/OS eligibility required to use Locator Plus?

All Android devices with OS 2.2 and above.

Do my family members need to hold on to supported devices/OS as well for me to be able to locate them?

No, your family member can hold on to any mobile devices.

Can I locate my family member if he/she is overseas?

No, the service can only be used to locate the family members who are in Singapore. An error message will be shown, “Unable to locate trackee” if your family member is overseas.

Can I locate my family member while I am overseas?

Yes, you can. Prevailing data-roaming charges apply.

How accurate is the service location information?

Locator Plus service is capable of estimating the family member’s location within the range of  500m to 1,000m but may be affected by other conditions such as geographic conditions, cell site location, or other network conditions.


How long does Locator Plus take to locate my family member?

Usually, it takes about a minute to locate your family member. However,  the duration may vary due to other factors such as geographic conditions, cell site location, or other network conditions.

How do I find out who has the rights or ability to track me?

Dial *LOCATE (*562283) to identify your family member who is tracking you.

Are there any one time activation charges?

No, there is no one time activation charge.

Is there any charges for downloading the app?

No, downloading of Locator Plus app is free.

Can I sign up the service via the app?

Yes, you can. Once you have downloaded the app, you can select the subscription plans in the app.

How do I unsubscribe the Locator Plus service?

You can unsubscribe your current plan by dialing *1626. After an SMS is received, reply with option < View/Unsubscribe Content Svc>.

Why can’t I access Locator Plus Desktop Version? I have already logged in to IDEAS after clicking the Desktop Version URL (http://www.locatorplus.singtel.com)?

Locator Plus Terms & Conditions




1,1 In addition to:

  1. The General Terms  and Conditions of Service (available at: http://info.singtel.com/terms-general )
  2. The Specific Terms and Conditions for SingTel Mobile (available at: http://info.singtel.com/terms-mobile)
  3. SingTel's Billing Terms and Conditions (available at: http://info.singtel.com/terms-billing

which terms and conditions are deemed incorporated by reference, the Customer shall be bound by the following Locator Plus Terms.

1.2 In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the General Terms, SingTel's Billing Terms and Conditions and these Locator Plus Terms, such conflict or inconsistency shall be resolved in accordance with the provisions of the General Terms.

1.3 In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between any provision of the Specific Terms and any provision of these Locator Plus’ Terms, these Locator Plus’ Terms shall prevail over the Specific Terms.


2.1 In these Locator Plus’  Terms, the following words and  expressions shall have the following meanings:

"Base Station" means cellular telephone network which is responsible for handling traffic and signaling between a mobile phone and the network switching subsystem.

"Customer" means the customer who subscribes to the Service.

“SingTel" means Singapore Telecommunications Limited (CRN: 199201624D).


"SingTel Mobile" means Singapore Telecom Mobile Pte Ltd (CRN: 199406031E).


"SingTel Group Company" means SingTel and each related corporation of SingTel within the meaning given in the Companies Act.


"Service" means the service known as Locator Plus which allows Customers to locate the Trackee.

"Territory" means Republic of Singapore.

"Trackee" means any SingTel Mobile prepaid or postpaid customer who is being located by the Customer.

"Working Days" means Mondays to Fridays excluding gazetted public holidays in Singapore.

2.2 The headings or titles to the clauses in these Locator Plus Terms are to facilitate reference and shall not be referred to or relied upon in the construction of any provision of these Locator Plus Terms. 

2.3 The words and expressions used in these Locator Plus Terms that are defined in the General Terms, the Specific Terms and/or SingTel’s Billing Terms and Conditions but which are not defined herein, shall have the same meanings as defined in the General Terms, the Specific Terms and/or  SingTel’s Billing Terms and Conditions unless expressly defined herein or the context otherwise requires. 

  1. Subscription, Commencement of Service and Minimum Subscription Period  

3.1 The Service is available to all SingTel Mobile postpaid customers.

3.2 The Service shall be activated on the date the Customer subscribes to the Service ("Commencement Date"). Thereafter, the Service shall continue in force until terminated by SingTel Mobile or the Customer.  

3.3 The minimum subscription period for the Service is: 

3.3.1 A period of one (1) month from the Commencement Date of the Service; or

3.3.2 Such other period as may be stipulated by SingTel Mobile as the minimum subscription period.


4.1 The Customer may terminate the Service by calling 1626. 

4.2 Where the Customer terminates the Service, the Customer shall be liable for the fees and/or charges for the Service till the end of the said calendar month in which the termination occurs. No pro-rationing of the fees and/or charges will be granted. 

4.3 Upon termination of this Agreement, the Customer acknowledges that all licenses and rights to use the Service shall terminate, and agrees to cease any and all use of the Service. 

4.4 Without prejudice to anything in the General Terms and Specific Terms, SingTel Mobile reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate the Customer's access to the Service for any reason whatsoever. No notice will be required to be given of such action and SingTel Mobile shall not be liable in damages or otherwise for such suspension, restriction or termination.


5.1 The Customer agrees not to use and not to allow or permit any other person to use the Service to:  


5.1.1 Cause any threat, harassment, distress, annoyance, inconvenience or anxiety to any person whomsoever or violate or infringe any other person's rights (including but not limited to the right of privacy), or interfere with another person's use of the Service;

5.1.2 Violate any laws, policies, guidelines or regulations of the Territory, including but not limited to any laws, policies, guidelines or regulations applicable to the business and operations of SingTel Mobile and/or any SingTel Group Company;

5.1.3 Carry out any activities which SingTel Mobile considers to be actually or potentially injurious to other Customers or persons, or to the operation or reputation of SingTel Mobile and/or any SingTel Group Company; and / or

5.1.4 Do any act that may at any time be prohibited by SingTel's Acceptable Use Policy which can be found at www.singtel.com/Locator Plus


5.2 The Customer acknowledges and agrees that: 


5.2.1 The use of and subscription to the Service shall be deemed as acceptance of these Locator Plus Terms and amendments thereof 

5.2.2 The Customer's and Trackee's mobile numbers may be disclosed to SingTel or its business partners for the provision of this Service;

5.2.3 The Trackee's location information provided under the Service is only a rough estimate, and is not an "accurate" current position of the Trackee;

5.2.4 The accuracy of the Service will vary as the Service is dependent on the location of the Base Station and/or any particular cell tower of the Base Station at any point of time. SingTel Mobile in no way warrants the accuracy of any location delivered by the Service;

5.2.5 The Service is dependent on network availability and coverage;

5.2.6 Where the Customer is not a parent of the Trackee, the Customer shall be responsible for obtaining the parental consent of any Trackee who is below the age of 18 to be tracked.

5.2.7 SingTel Mobile does not warrant having any control and/or knowledge over the relationship between the Customer and the Trackee and/or the validity of any consent given by a Trackee.

5.2.8 SingTel Mobile shall not be held liable for any failure by Trackee to provide valid consent and/or any consent unlawfully obtained. Although SingTel Mobile will use reasonable efforts to ensure that the Service will only be used to locate consenting Trackees, SingTel Mobile cannot and does not review and/or monitor each Customer’s usage of the Service on a case-by-case basis.

5.2.9 The Customer shall ensure that the Trackee is the intended individual whom he wishes to locate. 


6.1 The number of Trackees that a Customer can add to his locate list and the subscription fee shall depend on the respective subscription plan of the Customer as follows.

6.2 The Customer shall send a tracking request to the individual whom he wishes to track. Each tracking request will lapse after 24 hours from the time of request should there be no response from the said individual. Once the individual accepts the Customers tracking request, the Customer will be able to track the Trackee’s location in any part of Singapore.

6.3 The Customer is entitled to send unlimited tracking requests, subject to the maximum number of Trackees allowed, and subscription fees shall be chargeable from the Commencement Date, even if none of the individuals whom he wishes to track responds to his tracking requests.

6.4 The Customer acknowledges that after the Trackee accepts the Customer’s tracking request, the Trackee will be given the option to hide his location from the Customer at any time without any prior notice to the Customer. The Customer also acknowledges that the Trackee will be given the option to remove himself from the Customer’s list of Trackees at any time upon notification to the Customer. 

6.5 For the avoidance of doubt, the absence of tracking activities by the Customer shall not constitute termination of the Service. Monthly subscription shall be billable by SingTel Mobile until the Service is terminated in accordance with these Locator Plus Terms. 

6.6 Standard data charges of SingTel Mobile, as may be amended from time to time, shall apply unless otherwise stated.


7.1 The Customer accepts and agrees that SingTel Mobile does not warrant the Service will be provided uninterrupted or free from errors or that any identified defect will be corrected; further, no such warranty is given that the Service is free from any virus or other malicious, destructive or corrupting code or program. 

7.2 The Customer further acknowledges and agrees that SingTel Mobile 

7.2.1 Expressly excludes any guarantee, representation, warranty, condition, term, or undertaking of any kind, express or implied, statutory or otherwise or any representations or warranties arising from usage or custom or trade or by operation of law, including (without limitation) as to the sequence, originality, correctness, completeness, accuracy, timeliness, completeness, currency, non-infringement, merchantability, or fitness for any particular purpose in relation to the Service; and7.2.2

7.2.2 Shall not be liable to the Customer for any loss, liability, costs and/or damage whatsoever (whether direct, indirect or consequential) in respect of any matter howsoever arising (whether in tort, negligence or otherwise) in connection with the provision and/or use of the Service.


8.1 By accepting the tracking request sent by the Customer, the Trackee acknowledges that the Customer shall be able to access the Trackee’s location anytime without notice unless the Trackee hides his location or the Trackee’s name is removed from the Customer’s list of Trackees.

8.2 Trackee can dial *LOCATE (*562283) to view the Customer’s list or hide his location. 

8.3 The Trackee agrees to notify the Customer if he decides to give up the usage of the mobile service. The Trackee will be removed from the Tracker’s tracking list. The Tracker will still continue to pay for the subscription fees. 

8.4 By accepting the Customer’s tracking request, the Trackee hereby agrees to these  Locator Plus Terms.

  1.  GENERAL 

9.1 SingTel Mobile reserves the right in its absolute discretion to discontinue and/or suspend the Service without any liability whatsoever to the Customer.

9.2 SingTel Mobile reserves the right to alter, modify, add to or otherwise vary these Locator Plus Terms from time to time by notice to the Customer in such manner as SingTel Mobile deems appropriate. The Customer shall be bound by the terms and conditions so amended. In any event, if the Customer continues to use the Service after such notice, the Customer shall be deemed to have accepted the amendments.
