About Storage

  1. How much storage space is given in this package?

    2. Customers are given up to 3.5GB of storage space (3GB Email/ Storage & 50MB website) However, this is dependent on the type of plan that they subscribed..

  2. How much does it cost to get extra space?

    3. Additional space is chargeable at the rate of $14.98/mth per 100MB.
    However, customer must indicate the storage space usage. E.g. out of this 100MB, customer needs to state if all 100MB is used for Hosting of website or for Email/Online Storage usage.
    Note that One-Time-Charge of $21.40 per request applies.

  3. What is Document Storage?

    4. This is the feature that allows customer to have their company files stored onto BizWeb portal. Document Storage is bundled together with email space. E.g. 500MB is shared between email and document storage.
    Once the document is saved on BizWeb, the document is hosted by SingNet. Customer can access these documents, anytime, anywhere, as long as there is Internet connectivity.
    Customer (admin function) can upload files to the "Public" folders to allow all within the company to access the document, e.g. HR policy, claim forms, published price list, product catalogues.
    Individual user can have documents stored in the "Private Folder", and have these documents shared with selected members of the same company. E.g. sales to access quotation archives only.

About Email Accounts

  1. How many email accounts am I given?

    2. Customers are given up to 100 email account. However, this is dependent on the type of plan that they subscribed can have up to 10 email accounts.

  2. Can I have different email space for different staff?

    3. Yes, BizWeb has the flexibility to allow customization of email/online storage space for each and every email account.

  3. Can I get extra email accounts?

    4. Yes, customer can subscribe to more email accounts; however, the space allocated will not be changed with the increment of email accounts.

  4. How much does it cost to get extra email accounts?

    5. Additional email accounts will be charged at $16.05/mth for every block of 10 email accounts. Customer can have the flexibility of activating the account as and when needed.

About Domain Name

  1. What is Domain Name?

    2. Domain name is a unique online identity that the customer will need for their web presence, e.g. yourname@yourcompany.com.sg. "yourcompany" in this case, is the Domain Name.

  2. What is Domain Name hosting?

    3. Hosting is the publishing of this name onto the Internet, allowing information to be sent to the right email or web server that the domain name is located.

About Domain Name Hosting & Web Hosting

  1. If I already have a domain or web page hosted by other providers, what do I do?

    2. Customer with an existing email domain hosted with other providers (e.g. StarHub, PacNet, Qala etc). For subscribers who have an existing provider:

    1. He has to inform the current provider the intention to migrate the domain hosting to SingNet. The required time needed for such notification is dependent on the current provider.
    2. After confirming the migration of the domain by the current provider, subscriber has to inform BizWeb Helpdesk - 1800 8447227 (when overseas: +65 63147415 - IDD charges apply) and confirm the cut over date.
    3. During the cut over, customer will experience intermittent access to emails. This is because the DNS server by various providers takes time to "refresh" the new location of this domain name (now with SingNet) to their data base. This typically will take about 4 hours to stabilise.

    Customer with an existing homepage hosted with other providers (e.g. StarHub, PacNet, Qala etc). For subscribers who have an existing provider:

    1. He has to inform the current provider the intention to migrate the web hosting to SingNet.
    2. Customer has to retrieve the HTML files from the provider (if they did not keep a copy of it) Have the HTML files uploaded via the BizWeb portal under "DIY" website.
    3. The web site is now hosted by SingNet.

    Customer chooses to continue the web hosting with their current provider (but have the email hosted with SingNet).

    1. Customer has to inform the Web Hosting Company to have the MX record point to BizWeb Server, in order to have email send to SingNet BizWeb Mail Server.
    2. Customer can call BizWeb Helpdesk - 1800 8447227 (when overseas: +65 63147415 – IDD charges apply) to arrange.
